At the 2008 International Conference on Machine Learning and its Applications (ICMLA), a team consisting of AMS Prof. Dan Naiman, AMS and CIS Prof. Don Geman, ECE and CIS graduate student Bahman Afsari and ECE student Aik Choon Tan, were named winners of the 2008 ICMLA microarray classification algorithm competition.
Dr. Jedynak has been on the faculty previously as a visiting professor to the Center for Imaging Science and the Applied Mathematics and Statistics Department from the Scientific University of Lille. He is an expert in statistics and in particular its application to image analysis, pattern recognition, and statistical classification.
