ResearchI’m currently a Postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Imaging Science at Johns Hopkins University, working with René Vidal. My main research interest is Computer Vision, or how to build machines that can see and understand what they see. I have obtained my PhD from the Scientific Computation program at the University of Minnesota, under the supervision of Guillermo Sapiro. I spent two summers at Google, doing internships under the supervision of Tom Boulos (in 2006) and Lance Williams (in 2007). I did my M.Sc. on Biological Sciences/Neuroscience supervised by Ruben Budelli, Angel Caputi and Rafael Canetti at the School of Sciences of the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. I did my B.Sc. at the Electrical Engineering Department of the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. |
