IRAR DATABASE

In each of the directories listed below will be several sub-directories, each containing the following files:

• The original NATO format file.
  

  Filename is of the format: DIRECTORY_NAME.NAT (or .nat)

  This can be read using readnato.c for examining the headers and fingerprints of the data contained within, or dumpnato.c a modified version of readnato.c that will extract all images contained within the NATO file and save the raw data to disk.

  
  
  
• The raw data that was contained in the NATO file suitable for processing algorithms.
  

  Filenames are of the format: DIRECTORY_NAME.SENSOR_TYPE.NBbytes.NXxNY.raw

  • SENSOR_TYPE can be any of:
    • video
    • CO2_range_intensity
    • CO2_range_doppler_intensity
    • doppler
    • synthetic
    • 16bit_range_intensity
    • 16bit_range
    • 16bit_doppler_intensity
    • 16bit_doppler
    • GaAs_intensity_or_LW_passive
    • GaAs_range_or_LW_passive
    • or UNKNOWN for unknown data types

  • NB is the number of bytes/pixel
    • 1 byte = unsigned char data
    • 2 bytes = unsigned short data
    • 4 bytes = unsigned long data
    
    
  • NX,NY are the dimensions of the data
  
  
  
• The raw data converted into GIF files suitable for viewing.
  

  Filenames are of the format: DIRECTORY_NAME.SENSOR_TYPE.NXxNY.gif
