PEDIATRIC AND DEVELOPMENT COLLABORATION

Content TRD4 is involved in the following major collaborations in the pediatric brain and in the changing brain:

PEDIATRIC COLLABORATION 1. ADHD and Autism in the Pediatric Brain (Mostofsky)

White matter volume and motor skills. Top chart: In children with autism, a greater volume of white matter in the brain’s motor cortex predicts poorer motor skills (higher PANESS scores). Bottom chart: The opposite relationship is seen in typically developing (TD) children. Greater white matter volume predicts a lower PANESS score, a measure of better motor skills. 2. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in the Pediatric Brain (Botteron)

Labelled Cortical Distance Maps (LCDMs) in the Ventral Medial Prefrontal Cortex in Depressed, High Risk and Control Twins. Graphs show average LCDM grey matter profiles (row 1), average normalized LCDM grey matter profiles (row 2) and CMD profiles (row 3) for the left and right VMPFC. For the left VMPFC, the High Risk (HR) population is stochastically larger than the MDD population. For the right VMPFC, the control population is stocastically larger thna both HR and MDD populations.
